When a mysterious man in a black suit appears in Aiden Chase’s house to tell Aiden he has secret superpowers, thousands of possibilities beyond school life are suddenly opened up.

“At the moment you are a novice, and my organisation can teach you to have full control of your gift," the man tells him. "All we ask is that you allow us to make use of your abilities as and when we see fit.”

Fifteen-year-old Aiden has to decide whether to become part of Lucerin’s dark and secretive world, or to try out using his powers independently. Not sure who he can turn to, and with no idea who he can trust, Aiden has a simple warning reverberating around in his head:
“If you use your powers without permission, Lucerin will make sure you never wake up again.”
